MIHR is a Non-governmental and Non-profitable Organization working to assist the people of Afghanistan all over the country, to facilitate and make them aware by providing basic necessities of life, improving and building democracy through awareness programs, gender equality training, advocacy training and women access to justice.
The main focus of MIHR is the implementation of different community-based projects by establishing & promoting sustainable operations. HAEO wants to build the capacity of Afghans on national and community level, to improve the current economic, democratic and social standard of life, to eradicate poverty through implementation of development projects in the field of education vocational training, advocacy training, civic engagement, health care, income generation, livestock management and agriculture and gender-based activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Finance Officer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following work areas and duties.
- Oversee the financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.
- Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization.
- Preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts.
- Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures.
- Obtain approvals from the Director and from the donors on all procurements and purchases for the projects and for the organization.
- Monitor the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year.
- Provide orientation and training to the organization staff on cost-effective management.
- Ensure that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors.
- Oversee the financial audits of all projects of the organization.
- Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration
- Preform any other duties assigned by the MIHR/UNDP Supervisor
Job Requirements:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Management or Equivalent
Three to Five years of Experience in Relevant Field
Demonstrated Understanding or Financial Management Principles
Excellent Pashto, Dari and English
Evidence of a Highly Development Computer Literacy
Committed and Honest in His/her Work
